ACC Chairman Ghulam Rahman

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Wednesday agreed with the proposal of the World Bank (WB) of forming a panel to ensure a fair and transparent investigation into alleged graft in the Padma bridge project.

Apart from the formation of a three-member panel comprising international experts, the government is also willing to sign a memorandum of understanding (Mou) with the WB, ACC Chairman Ghulam Rahman said at a press briefing at his office.

He said, “The commission has agreed with the WB’s proposal to ensure a complete, transparent and fair investigation. The government and the World Bank will sign a MoU in this regard.”
